making art is like giving a gift: evidence of your spirit and that you are here

Welcome to the Artintuit Gallery

Here you’ll find a growing collection of works by people living with dementia and disability, made through Artintuit’ art programs.

I really love these artworks, and I hope you will get a sense of the pride and joy that went into creating them.

One of the benefits of buying an Artintuit program package is the gift of a group produced artwork each year.

Individual works are assembled into one piece and printed as a wall sized mural, making a colourful addition to your facility decor.

Residents love seeing their work on display!

Here are some examples.

As part of the Drawing Memories research project, 18 residents and clients across two Uniting Aged Care residential and community services produced their expressive interpretation of Van Gogh’s Starry Night.

Winner winner!

We were thrilled to have two winners at the Newcastle Regional Show in
the Aged care and Dementia art categories in two consecutive years.

2020 - Sunflowers

The 2020 artwork is an interpretation of Van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’. It is meant to convey feelings of sunshine and happiness.

2021 - The Scream

In 2021 residents created an artwork depicting their feelings through the Covid-19 lockdowns. It is based on Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’ with overlaid self portraits of their own screams of frustration.
